Irvine Valley athletic teams have collected 26 team state championships and 69 team Orange Empire Conference titles from 1990 through the spring of 2025.
The 2012-13 school year was highlighted by two state titles for the IVC athletics program.
In the fall of 2012, Irvine Valley's women's golf team won its second state title in three years and then in the spring of 2013 the Irvine Valley women's sand volleyball team captured its first state title in the new and sport on the community college level.
The women's sand/beach volleyball team won three state titles in a row from 2013-2015 and the men's tennis team at Irvine Valley captured three state titles in a row (2015, 2016 and 2017).
The Laser men's tennis team won the latest state title in the spring of 2025, defeating Foothill in the championship match in Ventura in April.
IVC currently competes in 10 intercollegiate sports: baseball, women's beach volleyball, women's flag football, men's tennis, and men’s and women’s basketball, soccer and volleyball.
